Publisher XSEED mengumumkan mereka akan meluncurkan Game Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed via Steam pada tanggal 26 Mei mendatang, game ini akan dihargai $29.99 atau sekitar 390 ribu Rupiah. Pada minggu pertama peluncurannya, XSEED akan memberikan diskon 10 persen.
Versi Steam sendiri akan termasuk fitur "Visual Editor" yang juga terdapat di versi Playstation 4 yang mana fungsi fitur ini adalah player bisa mengganti opsi dari game graphic, versi steam juga akan termasuk fungsi dari Steam sendiri seperti achievements serta trading cards.
Game Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed sendiri dirilis XSEED pertama kali di Jepang untuk konsol Playstation 3.
XSEED menulis sinopsis dari game tersebut:
AKIBA'S TRIP: Undead & Undressed tells the story of a young
man named Nanashi who was lured into a trap and transformed into one of
the walking undead. Lucky enough to be spared the worst of his fate by
the kiss of a mysterious Synthister hunter named Shizuku, Nanashi is
sworn to rid Akihabara of the Synthister threat. Together with the rest
of his companions in an organization unofficially dubbed the “Akiba
Freedom Fighters,” Nanashi and Shizuku must uncover the truth behind the
Synthister plague and save Akiba from being overrun by their kind.
